Tips on How to Overcome Your “Dentist Phobia”.

If you are one of up to 75% of adults who experience some degree of dental fear there are now techniques and options to help you conquer your fear and get the dental treatment you require.

Are You Ashamed of Your Smile?

If you are, you’re not alone. According to a new study by Bupa (an international healthcare company) 28% of people don’t like smiling because of their teeth.

The information gathered in the study of 2,000 participants indicated that 28 % of people don’t show their smile when taking pictures on social media because they assume their teeth are unattractive. 81 % of people studied state that they believe their teeth look unattractive in photographs.

Do You Have Dentures? Can You Eat This?

If you would have trouble eating steak and corn on the cob with your current dentures you might want to consider Implant Retained Dentures.  These specialty dentures are a sort of cross between dental implants and dentures.

Dental implants are an extremely popular choice for denture stability and replacement of missing teeth and they are always an option if you need to replace teeth. But if you have decided that a mouth full of dental implants is not for you, why not get a few implants which can be used to anchor your denture securely in your mouth.

The Scoop About Teeth Cleaning!

Dental cleanings involve removing plaque (a soft, sticky, bacteria infested film) and tartar (calculus) deposits that have built up on your teeth over time. Even though you brush and floss regularly your teeth are continually bathed in saliva that contains calcium and other substances which help strengthen and protect the teeth. While this is a good thing, it also means that we tend to get a build-up of calcium deposits on our teeth. This chalky substance eventually builds up over time, like limescale in a kettle.
